The Constitutional Law on State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted by decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 16 December 1991. Every year on this day the country celebrates Independence Day.
The Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the fourth meeting of the National Council of Public Trust in October 2020 announced the decision to declare 2021 the Year of the 30th Independence Anniversary.
Today, Kazakhstan is an independent, democratic and rule of law state. During this short period, the country has developed very rapidly and achieved tremendous success. Within 30 years we managed to build a stable economy; we also succeeded in the social sphere, politics, culture and sports.
In addition, the greatest and unconditional success of Kazakhstan is the creation of peaceful and friendly atmosphere for representatives of more than 130 different ethnic groups. Thanks to this position, Kazakhstan has been able to become a full-fledged and active member of the United Nations and create an individual model of development.
